Dormitory Information

  1. Dormitory Living

    PhD and Master’s Foreign students can apply and will be distributed to live in one of the three dormitories. A self-governing dormitory committee is formed by the residents to take care of dormitory matters under the guidance of the Office of Student Affairs.

  1. Length of stay in dorm (for foreign students):
    • Undergraduate Students: Priority for the 1st year; 2 to 4 Year: Draw lottery.
    • Master’s Students (Maximum 2 years): Priority in Dorm 2 or Dorm 3 for the 1 ~ 2 Year.
    • PhD Students (Maximum 5 years): Priority in Dorm 2 or 3 for Female PhD students 1~3 Year , Male PhD students 1~2 Year 
      Priority in Dorm 1
      for Female PhD students Year 4-5 Year , Male PhD students Year 3~5 Year (Maximum 5 years).

Lounge

Each dorm will have one lounge(at least).

Provides newspapers and television.

Study Room

Each dorm will have one study room (at least).

1st dorm: Even-numbered floors;

2nd & 3rd dorm: at 1st floor.

Dorm rooms provide a bed, cabinet, study table, and chair for each student. Bedding and any other items for personal use are to be provided by the student; Students need to buy prepaid IC cards to pay for electricity for air conditioners.

  1. Dorm rules:
  • To avoid fires caused by the overloading of electrical circuits in the dorm buildings, refrigerators, hot plates, and rice cookers are not permitted in dorm rooms. Other cooking equipment, such as gas stoves or any type of open flame is also prohibited. Students are not permitted to cook in their dorm rooms.

  1. Dormitory Management Center Location: If students have any problems with dorm facilities, equipment, or other aspects of dorm life, please contact the staff in the Dormitory Management Center, located in the 1st Floor of each dorm.
